Description
The TUBULUS Concentus BNC Clock Cable is based on 3 pure silver conductors. These are solid core conductors to prevent strand interaction, which is a major source of distortion. With these 3 conductors the use of the skin effect is maximized which is of great influence on high frequency signals like clock signals. That’s why these 3 conductors with an overall gauge of awg19 perform much more effective than 1 conductor of awg19.
The conductors are surrounded by mainly air, because (except for a vacuum) air is the best dielectric. This air insulation is made possible by our special concentric 75ohm and 50ohm tube construction, which can only be made by hand. For a BNC clock cable it’s unique to have air insulation.
With a special thermo-process the silver conductors are restructured at a molecular level to reach a quality close to mono crystal silver. The TUBULUS Concentus BNC Clock Cable is also equipped with 4 layers of very effective shielding to prevent electrical noise entering into the cable. This shielding has a 100% coverage.
The TUBULUS Concentus BNC Clock Cable is available as a 75ohm or 50ohm version with high quality gold plated BNC plugs, which are soldered with silver containing solder.
TUBULUS clock cables are hand crafted with love, expertise and devotion with no excess decoration or luxury packaging and therefore true value for your money!

WHY BUY A TUBULUS CLOCK CABLE?
A high end clock cable may sound like nonsense. After all it’s just 1’s and 0’s it has to transport. Any cable can do that. But those 1’s and 0’s have to be transported by a bunch of electrons traveling through a wire and electrons don’t know if they are ‘analog’ or ‘digital’. In fact, all electrical signals are analogue.
However, the digital clock signal is different; it is a pulse train, a square wave instead of a sine. But a perfect square wave doesn’t exist, because transition from one to zero requires time. So there is always a rise/fall time and the edges of the square wave will be rounded. In fact the square wave is a kind of trapezium with rounded edges.
Depending on the quality of the cable, the corners of the square wave will round off to a greater or lesser degree and the “flat” portions of the wave will become uneven as well. Small changes will make it harder for the receiver to detect the exact moment the rise or fall is happening. This will induce jitter. And if the changes become too big, the receiver will not even be able to reconstruct the logical 1’s and 0’s properly.
This is why a high quality clock cable like the TUBULUS Concentus can make great improvements in sound quality.

When I plugged the Concentus BNC clock cables in I immediately noticed, without any doubt, that they are sonically wonderful. The “Air” really catches my attention. The incredible transparency, soundstage and depth to sound. In particularly when the Concentus i2s cable is also in the signal path. I’ve spent quite a lot of time in listening all sorts of music and the “air” surprised me from time to time. Mostly due to the music I played became so vivid that interrupted the thing I was working on.
Thank you so much for providing me such a fantastic product, that is essential to explore the beauty of music!
